Chief Bill Carson is pleased to announce that the Maryland Heights Police Department will mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month starting October 1, 2022, by “Thinking Pink”, and wearing a special pin on our uniform shirts.
Officers who contribute a minimum donation of $20.00 at www.justgiving.com/MHPDThinkPink, can wear a Pink Line Flag pin, throughout October.
The public can also participate by clicking the link above by November 1, 2022.
The proceeds raised will go directly to Gateway to Hope, a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance and emotional support to breast cancer patients who need it most so that they can focus on healing and getting well.
This is in hopes to raise awareness and acknowledge the fight of all those who are affected by breast cancer. Breast cancer affects one in eight women in our country, Several of our officers have been touched by this issue personally and we would like to bring light to this issue and to the resources that are available in the metro area.
