Missouri-St. Louis golfer Dani Solavera earns GLVC player of the week honor

University of Missouri-St. Louis junior Dani Solavera has received the first Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Men’s Golf Player of the Week award for the 2025 season, according to an announcement from the league office on Wednesday.

Solavera, an international business major from Barcelona, Spain, earned his second career Player of the Week honor after winning his first collegiate event at the Arch Cup. He finished as the individual medalist in a field of 64 golfers and led Missouri-St. Louis to a first-place team finish among ten teams with rounds of 280 and 282 for a total score of 562.

Solavera recorded scores of 70 and 66 for a combined score of 136, six under par. This result is the fourth-lowest mark in program history for 36 holes. He also tied for first in par-3 scoring average (2.90) and birdies made (8) during the tournament.

The last Tritons’ player to earn this recognition was Trigg Lindahl on October 17, 2024.

Missouri-St. Louis will host the Midwest Collegiate at Rock Hollow Golf Club in Peru, Indiana on September 29-30.
