As the weather turns colder and the trees lose their leaves, it's clear Fall is here - and with the turn of the season comes considerations for how we maintain our properties!
Disposing of yard waste that builds up with the changing seasons is easy! The City's contract with Republic Services allows for one yard waste pick up each week. Yard waste includes grass clippings, leaves, branches, and other compostable yard debris.
Collect yard waste and put inside a plastic bin (not the container provided for trash or recycling) or purchase paper or biodegradable bags at your local hardware store. Place bags or bins near the sidewalk or edge of driveway on the day of your yard waste route. If you do not know which day the yard waste gets picked up in your area, please call (636) 947-5959. The pile of bags should be no higher than 4 feet. Cut longer branches down to be no longer than 4 feet and bundle with twine.
Republic Services will send out a phone message if yard waste routes are delayed. To ensure that you are on their call list, contact Customer Service at (636) 947-5959.
