The time has come for our 2nd Annual Beards for Babies aka “No Shave November”!!!
Starting today, Chief Carson will temporarily suspend our department policy that restricts the wearing of beards. Any male officer that would like to voluntarily take part in the “Beards for Babies”, may do so by making a tax-deductible minimum donation of $50.00 to Saint Louis Crisis Nursery.
Saint Louis Crisis Nursery, is a charitable organization whose administrative headquarters are located in Maryland Heights. The Saint Louis Crisis Nursery is a premier child abuse prevention program in the St. Louis region. The Saint Louis Crisis Nursery provides a short-term safe haven, free of cost, for over 5,000 children a year, birth through age 12, whose families are facing an emergency caused by illness, homelessness, domestic violence, or overwhelming parental stress. To find out more about Saint Louis Crisis Nursery visit their website at: www.crisisnurserykids.org/.
Chief Carson believes that building a strong relationship with the businesses within our community is important, stating “We wanted to do something charitable, preferably for children and families, and at the same time support organizations that are in our community.” We are hoping to build a stronger community, by helping build stronger families.
We encourage friends and family members to get involved by donating and/or sponsoring an officer. This is a great way to spread awareness and donate to a great cause that has been based in Maryland Heights since 2008.

North County Police Cooperative and Town and Country Police Department have decided to join us this year in a friendly competition to see which police department can raise the most money and win the “Best Beard” Award! Which, our very own Det. Shane Monnig won last year!
