City of Maryland Heights Government - The Affordable Care Act (a.k.a. Obamacare) Marketplace Opens Today

The Affordable Care Act (a.k.a. Obamacare) Marketplace opens TODAY – and everyone has options to get affordable healthcare!

Some quick facts about the Marketplace:

- If you don’t currently have insurance, this is the plan for you! Open to EVERYONE!

- Monthly premiums determined based on your income (meaning they’re affordable!)

- A plan for almost every income!

- Requires a YEARLY RE-ENROLLMENT to keep coverage (We can help!)

Get covered! Health insurance is an important safety net in case you were to fall ill or have an accident. It can also help you stay healthy by covering regular doctor’s visits to get routine physicals and necessary medications! You can sign up for the Marketplace at www.healthcare.gov.

If you need help enrolling in the ACA Marketplace, come out to the St. Louis Regional Health Insurance Fair! This event, held on Nov. 19th at the Maryland Heights Municipal Court (11911 Dorsett Road) from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., will have volunteers who are able to assist you in the application process. You can register for the event at www.marylandheights.com/insurancefair - walk-ins will also be accepted! We’ll also be offering a walk-in Vaccine Clinic featuring Pfizer shots in partnership with the St. Louis County Department of Public Health from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. during the event.

If you have questions about enrolling in health insurance, the health insurance fair, or the Vaccine Clinic, please contact the Social Worker for the City of Maryland Heights, Claire, at (314)-738-2233.
