The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's golf team is set to begin the 2025-26 season ranked No. 21 in the Bushnell Golfweek Preseason Coaches Poll, according to an announcement from the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Last season, the Tritons finished 17th at the NCAA Division II Championships. The team will return all five players who competed at those championships under head coach Troy Halterman, now entering his 17th year with UMSL.

Among the returning athletes is sophomore Logan Mayo, who earned All-Midwest honors as well as All-GLVC and GLVC Freshman of the Year recognition last season. Mayo posted a single-season scoring average of 71.87, which is the second lowest in school history.

Sophomore Trigg Lindahl and junior Dani Solavera also return after being named All-GLVC selections last year. Lindahl averaged a score of 72.74 per round and recorded three top-five and five top-10 finishes during the previous season. Solavera had a scoring average of 72.92, along with one top-five and two top-10 finishes.

UMSL will start its new campaign on Tuesday, September 2 with the annual Arch Cup at Gateway National Golf Links in Madison, Illinois. The fall schedule includes five additional tournaments, highlighted by hosting the National Preview event in Boulder City, Nevada on October 6-7.
