Missouri-St. Louis women’s golf wins UIndy Fall Invitational

The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team secured a victory at the UIndy Fall Invitational, held at Champions Pointe Golf Club in Henryville, Indiana. The Tritons posted a total team score of 869 over 54 holes, finishing ahead of the host team, UIndy, by four strokes.

Two members of the UMSL squad were named to the all-tournament team. Hillary Currier placed third overall with a score of 213, while Wilma Zanderau finished fourth with a score of 214. Other notable performances included Mayan Covarrubias tying for 12th place with a final score of 221, Hope Williams tying for 16th at 222, and Emmy Wahl tying for 23rd with a score of 225. Josefin Hansson participated in Tuesday's final round and shot an 80.

Tiffin University's Laura Goetz claimed medalist honors after edging out UIndy's Ava Ray through a scorecard decision.

The Tritons will compete next at the DBU Classic at Oakmont Country Club in Corinth, Texas on September 22-23.
