University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball players Skylar Weaver and Caitlin Bishop have each earned Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC)/Athletic Solutions weekly honors for the second consecutive week, according to an announcement from the conference office on Monday.
Weaver, a junior libero majoring in business from Lansing, Kansas, was named Defensive Player of the Week. She recorded 91 digs over 15 sets, averaging 6.07 per set, and contributed 25 assists and five service aces during matches against South Dakota Mines, Nebraska-Kearney, Sioux Falls, and Adams State. Weaver leads the GLVC in digs per set at 5.56 and had her top performance with 30 digs and three service aces against South Dakota Mines. She was also named to the Rosella Meier Fall Classic All-Tournament team.

Bishop, a senior setter majoring in nursing also from Lansing, Kansas, received Setter of the Week recognition after directing an offense that averaged nearly 14 kills per set across four matches last week. She tallied a total of 162 assists (10.80 per set), along with adding defensive contributions such as 44 digs and three blocks. Her standout match included providing 45 assists and collecting 15 digs against Sioux Falls.

The Missouri-St. Louis Tritons will next compete at the Hyatt Place Bash at the Beach tournament in Boca Raton this weekend where they are scheduled to face Lynn University on Friday afternoon followed by Flagler College later that day.
