The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's soccer team earned a 4-2 victory over Lincoln University on Sunday at Dwight T. Reed Stadium in Jefferson City, Missouri. This result marks the Tritons' fourth consecutive win, improving their season record to 5-2-1 overall and 4-0-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC). Lincoln remains winless with a record of 0-3-2 overall and 0-3-1 in conference play.

Lincoln opened the scoring late in the first half when Madison Wimberly assisted Ivanna Faria, who headed the ball into the net for a 1-0 lead. The Tritons responded quickly after halftime with two goals. Josie Maddox initiated an attack down the right side, leading to Maddie Clark finding Rachel Skyberg, who scored her second goal of the season.

Just over thirty seconds later, Gwen Maggard passed ahead to Skyberg, who set up Ella Anselm for another goal, giving UMSL the lead. Anselm added her second goal of the match and third of the season in the 64th minute.

Lincoln narrowed the deficit in the 71st minute when Faria assisted Angela Reynolds for a goal. In response, UMSL restored its two-goal advantage in the 85th minute as Clark connected with Maddox for another score.

UMSL outshot Lincoln by a margin of 26 to 5 and held a significant edge in shots on target at 16 to 4. Maddox led all players with eight shots during the match. Goalkeeper Rylee Griffith recorded two saves, including one late diving stop that helped secure the win.

The Tritons will finish their three-game road trip next Sunday against Maryville University in St. Louis at noon.
