University of Missouri-St. Louis senior Caitlin Bishop has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference/Athletic Solutions Volleyball Setter of the Week for the third time this season, marking the 17th such honor in her collegiate career, according to an announcement from the conference office on Monday.
Bishop, a nursing major from Lansing, Kansas, helped lead the Tritons to victories over Illinois Springfield and Quincy. Over two matches, she recorded 108 assists—an average of 13.5 per set—and contributed 17 digs, four kills, three blocks, and two service aces. Her performance against Quincy was highlighted by a career-high 66 assists and 12 digs.
This latest award adds to a series of Setter of the Week recognitions Bishop has earned throughout her career: "Earns 17th career Setter of the Week Award: (9/15/25, 9/8/25, 11/18/24, 11/4/24, 10/21/24, 10/14/24, 9/30/24, 9/23/24, 9/9/24, 11/13/23, 11/6/23, 10/30/23, 10/23/23, 10/16/23, 10/9/23, 9/25/23, 9/18/23)". The most recent previous recognition for a Tritons player as Setter of the Week also went to Bishop on September 15.
The Tritons are scheduled to play their next match at Upper Iowa this Friday at Dorman Memorial Gymnasium in Fayette.
