Missouri St. Louis women’s golf in sixth after first day at Beall Fall Classic

The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team, ranked 19th nationally, finished the first day of the William Beall Fall Classic in sixth place with a combined score of 626. The tournament is being held at Findlay Country Club in Findlay, Ohio.

Wilma Zanderau and Emmy Wahl were the top performers for UMSL on Monday. Both golfers posted scores of 153 and are tied for 11th place individually. Zanderau recorded rounds of 77 and 76, while Wahl shot a 74 followed by a 79.

Other contributors to the team's total included Hope Williams with a score of 161 (80-81), Mayan Covarrubias at 162 (81-81), and Hillary Currier who ended the day at 165 (87-78). Brooke Inchiostro, competing as an individual, scored 160 (77-83).

Kamryn Shannon from Ferris State leads all individuals with a score of 142 after two rounds. She holds a five-shot lead over Ellie Yeazell from Findlay heading into Tuesday's final round. The host team, Findlay Oilers, currently leads the team competition with a score of 595.

The final round is scheduled to begin Tuesday morning at Findlay Country Club.
