The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's golf team, ranked No. 22 nationally, finished tied for fifth place out of 17 teams at the National Preview tournament held at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada. The team posted a total score of 844 (285-285-274) over three rounds.
In the final round, the Tritons recorded a score of 274, which matches the second lowest single-round score in the program's history.
Dani Solavera led UMSL in the last round with a 67, ending in a tie for 11th overall with a total score of 209 (72-70-67). He achieved six birdies during his final round, including three consecutive birdies on holes 10 through 12. Ludvig Granlund, who competed as an individual, was the top finisher for UMSL, tying for eighth place with a total of 208 (71-69-68) and making eight birdies in his final round.
Trigg Lindahl finished tied for 15th with a total score of 210 (69-72-69), recording six birdies on Tuesday. Logan Mayo shot a final-round 69 to finish in 27th place with a cumulative score of 213 (72-72-69). Leo Baudry followed two shots behind Mayo at 215 (72-74-69), while Benjamin Berger ended with a score of 221 (75-71-75).
Seth Bearden from Midwestern State won the individual medalist honor with a total score of 203 (68-67-68), finishing two strokes ahead of Aaron Parayno from Cal State San Bernardino and Isaac Chern Yi To from Missouri S&T. Lynn University secured the team championship with an overall score of 836 (284-275-277), finishing two shots ahead of Midwestern State.
UMSL will compete next week at the Doc Spragg Invitational in Findlay, Ohio.
