The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's soccer team played to a scoreless draw against McKendree University at Don Dallas Field on Friday evening. The result leaves the Tritons with a record of 2-3-5 overall and 1-2-5 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC), while McKendree stands at 4-3-4 overall and 4-1-3 in conference play.

McKendree had an early opportunity to take the lead in the ninth minute when Fredrik Thulin's shot was stopped by UMSL goalkeeper Jack Franklin. Franklin made another save before halftime, denying Dylan Gloviak.

During the first half, UMSL outshot McKendree 5-4 but did not register any shots on target. In the second half, McKendree appeared to score from a corner kick in the 63rd minute, but the goal was disallowed due to a foul in the penalty area.

UMSL's best chance came late in the match when Melo Mensah advanced down the left side, maneuvered past his defender, and fired across goal toward the far post. His effort went wide, resulting in a goal kick for McKendree.

By full time, McKendree had eight shots compared to UMSL’s seven and led 2-0 in shots on goal. The Tritons held an advantage with seven corner kicks to four for their opponents.

UMSL will next play at home against Illinois Springfield on Sunday at Don Dallas Field with kickoff scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
