Missouri St. Louis men’s cross country wins Trojan Invitational; Kaempfe secures third victory

Will Kaempfe led the University of Missouri-St. Louis men's cross country team to victory at the Hannibal-LaGrange Trojan Invitational on Saturday, finishing first in the eight-kilometer race with a time of 25:50.70. This marks Kaempfe's third event win of the season.

The Tritons secured the top three positions in the race, with Luke Stevenson and Clement Mayo finishing second and third, recording times of 27:07.30 and 27:27.90 respectively. Other notable performances for UMSL included Devon Fanning, who placed eighth overall at 27:51.50, Aaron Guss in 11th at 28:33.40, and Armando Montoya finishing 17th at 30:12.40.

On the women's side, three out of four UMSL runners finished within the top 15 in the five-kilometer race. Hannah Richardson took seventh place with a time of 22:05.0, followed by Bridget Ragan in eighth at 22:12.90 and Ansley Casey in 13th at 22:53.10. Zoey Losch completed the course in 28:23.90 to finish in 30th place.

The Tritons are scheduled to compete next at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship meet in Romeoville, Illinois, which will take place at the Lewis Cross Country Course in two weeks.
