The University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team is set to compete in the 17th annual Midwest Region Crossover, which will take place this weekend at the Hammond Sportsplex in Hammond, Indiana.

UMSL enters the tournament as the top seed from the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC). The team will play Hillsdale College, seeded sixth from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC), on Friday at 11:30 a.m. Later that day, they will face Davenport University, the fourth seed from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC), at 4:30 p.m. The Tritons’ opponent and match time for Saturday will be determined based on Friday’s results.

Last weekend, UMSL improved its record to 13-4 overall and maintained an undefeated record in GLVC play by securing two road victories. They defeated Upper Iowa in straight sets and then beat Truman State in four sets. The Tritons are currently on a six-match winning streak.

Hillsdale holds a 6-7 overall record and is 4-3 in GMAC play. After a slow start to their season, losing six of their first eight matches, the Chargers have won four of their last five games. Their only recent loss was to No. 25 Findlay.

Davenport comes into Friday’s matches with a 9-7 overall record and a 6-3 mark in conference play. The Panthers have won their last two games and will first play Ashland on Friday morning before facing UMSL later that day.

Tickets for the event will be available for purchase at the door by cash only. Single session tickets cost $12 per person, while a two-day pass is priced at $20. Children aged ten and under can attend free of charge. Tournament matches will also be streamed live via BallerTV with an all-tournament pass available for $40.

"We are excited to represent our conference as the number one seed," said a representative from UMSL Athletics.
