The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's soccer team secured a 3-0 victory against Lewis University at Lewis Stadium on Sunday. With this result, the Tritons' record stands at 8-3-2 overall and 7-1-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, while Lewis falls to 6-2-5 overall and 5-2-3 in conference play.

Maddie Clark opened the scoring for UMSL in the 25th minute. "Karley Kinzinger sent a ball across the face of the goal that couldn't be cleanly dealt with by the Lewis defenders. Clark ran onto the ball, slotting it past the keeper for her second goal of the season."

In the second half, Josie Maddox increased UMSL's lead in the 63rd minute. "Avery Hesseldenz won the ball on a Flyers goal kick before Clark had slipped a through ball between two defenders to set Maddox up one-on-one with the keeper." Maddox placed her shot between the Lewis goalkeeper and the near post.

Natalie Scott scored UMSL's third goal in the 74th minute with a header from a free kick by Gwen Maggard.

UMSL's offensive efforts were led by Maddox, who recorded two shots on target. Ella Anselm also took two shots, with one on goal. Goalkeeper Rylee Griffith made five saves to secure her seventh shutout of the season.

The Tritons will return home to Don Dallas Field for their final regular-season homestand, beginning Friday, October 24, against Upper Iowa at 12:30 p.m.
