Three student-athletes from the University of Missouri-St. Louis have been recognized for their academic and athletic achievements by being named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic At-Large All-District team. The announcement was made on Tuesday.
The honorees include Leo Baudry, Benjamin Berger, and Juliette Lecomte, who represent the Tritons golf team. To qualify for this recognition, a student-athlete must participate in at least 70 percent of their team's scored contests and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Leo Baudry is majoring in data science and analysis. Over the past season, he participated in 38 rounds across 13 tournaments with a scoring average of 73.66. He achieved two top-five finishes and two top-10 finishes, recording his best round score of 68 during the UIndy Fall Invitational's second round.
Benjamin Berger is pursuing a degree in business finance. Like Baudry, he played 38 rounds in 13 tournaments this season with an average score of 74.22. Berger secured one top-10 finish and managed to shoot par or better in 11 rounds, achieving his lowest round score of 69 at the Las Vegas Desert Classic.
Juliette Lecomte majors in business and participated in 14 tournaments over 35 rounds with an average score of 76.26 this season. She earned one top-five finish along with three top-10 finishes and was twice named GLVC Women's Golf Athlete of the Week before being selected for the All-GLVC team. Her best performance came with a low round score of 67 during last fall's National Preview opening round in Las Vegas.
These Academic All-District honorees will advance to compete for spots on the CSC Academic All-America teams, which will be announced on July 8 for women and July 9 for men.
