34 UMSL athletes receive GLVC academic excellence awards

The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) has recognized 34 student-athletes from the University of Missouri-St. Louis with the GLVC Council of Presidents' Academic Excellence Award. This accolade is awarded to student-athletes who have completed their eligibility in their respective sports and maintained a minimum 3.5-grade point average throughout their academic careers.

Eligibility for this award requires that the student-athlete must have competed in the GLVC for at least two years and completed 96 credit hours. The award can only be received once in a student's career.

UMSL's honored athletes include Andrew Buescher, Zach Haygood, Barrett Rose, Braedon Stoakes, Nate Zyzda from Baseball; Brennan Weller and Savon Wykle from Men's Basketball; Andres Aguirre from Men's Golf; JT Goldstein and Luca Saewe from Men's Soccer; Ethan Boehle and Mason Stimson from Men's Swimming; Brett Lynch, Gavin Love, Devin St. Clair, Benjamin VandenBrink, Jacob Warner from Men's Cross Country/Track and Field; Aalia Carlson, Audrey Martinez-Stewart, Kate Rolfes, Brooke Woodyard from Women's Basketball; Juliette Lecomte from Women's Golf; Emily Bloomfield, Jada Holloman, Kayley Judy from Women's Soccer; Gwyn Miller, Megan Russell, Courtney Settles, Lexi Sherrick from Softball; Trysta Foster from Volleyball; Cheyanne Godleski, Averi Meade, Kate Nelson from Women's Swimming; Lily Wagemann from Women's Cross Country/Track and Field.
