The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has honored the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) men's and women's swimming teams with Scholar All-America honors. UMSL was among 763 schools recognized for their academic achievements during the spring semester, with a total of 18,459 student-athletes represented.
Within the Great Lakes Valley Conference, UMSL was one of seven schools to have both their men's and women's teams acknowledged. Other schools in this category included Indianapolis, McKendree, Quincy, Rockhurst, Truman State, and William Jewell. Missouri S&T received recognition for its men's team.
During the 2025 spring semester, the Triton men achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.46 while the women posted a GPA of 3.47. Both teams had also been recognized as CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams in the previous fall semester.
Fairmont State led Division II men's teams with a GPA of 3.76. Catawba and Lynn tied for top honors among women's teams, each posting a GPA of 3.87.
In addition to team accolades, seven individuals from UMSL earned CSCAA Scholar All-American honors. First-Team Scholar All-America selections require a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participation in national championships, while Second-Team honorees must meet similar academic standards and achieve a "B" time standard at nationals.
Justice Beard earned first-team recognition, while Kate Nelson, Aaron Wicklund, Conley Savage, David Reynolds, Hendrik Bechtel, and Mattia Nardiearned were named to the second team.
The CSCAA was founded in 1922 as the nation's first organization for college coaches with a mission to advance swimming and diving through leadership and advocacy.
