UMSL softball team recognized for academic excellence by NFCA

UMSL Softball Field | Missouri St. Louis Tritons

The University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team has been recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) for academic achievement during the 2024-25 school year. The Tritons earned Easton/NFCA Division II All-Academic Team honors after finishing the year with a cumulative grade point average of 3.61.

In addition to the team award, 15 UMSL players were named NFCA Scholar-Athletes. To receive this distinction, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA for the academic year.

The honored student-athletes are Ashley Borowitz, Sasha Buckberger, Maddie Illingworth, Kaytie Kossina, Gwyn Miller, Phoebe Miller, May Pasqualini, Jayla Plotz, Megan Russell, Julia Sandles, Lexi Sherrick, Simia Spahiev, Hannah Tomlianovich, Ashley Ware and Jamie Widule.
