UMSL women’s golf finishes fifth at Intercollegiate at Nemacolin

The University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) women's golf team placed fifth out of nine teams at the Intercollegiate at Nemacolin, held at Mystic Rock Golf Club in Farmington, Pennsylvania. The event was hosted by the University of Findlay.

UMSL recorded a total team score of 940 across three rounds (323-305-312). Hillary Currier led the Tritons with a top 10 finish, tying for ninth place after posting scores of 75, 82, and 76 for a total of 233. Both Emmy Wahl and Wilma Zanderau tied for 16th place with scores of 236. Wahl shot rounds of 81, 74, and 81 while Zanderau posted scores of 82, 75, and 79.

Other UMSL competitors included Mayan Covarrubias who finished with a score of 238 (85-77-76), Brooke Inchiostro with a score of 247 (86-79-82), and Hope Williams—competing as an individual—who scored 251 (83-90-78).

North Georgia's Cora Mount won the individual title with a three-round score of 225 (72-74-79), finishing three strokes ahead of UIndy’s Paige Giovenco. Grand Valley State secured the team championship with an overall score of 915 (301-307-307).

Additionally, UMSL had three golfers compete at the McKendree Bearcat Dual Gender event at Far Oaks Golf Course in Caseyville, Illinois. Josefin Hansson finished with a total score of 241 (77-79-85), Alaina Ervin scored 245 (84-83-78), and Abigail Ante posted a score of 264 (87-88-89).

UMSL is scheduled to resume its season in February at the Southern Invite in Spring, Texas.
