The Missouri-St. Louis women's soccer team has been included in the first NCAA Division II Regional Rankings released on Wednesday. The Tritons are among 10 teams from the Midwest Region that received postseason consideration.

This initial ranking lists teams in alphabetical order, with numerical rankings to be provided next week. The official selection for the 56-team NCAA Division II Championship field, which will include eight teams from the Midwest Region, is scheduled for November 17 and will be announced on NCAA.com.

UMSL is aiming for its second consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament and its sixth overall. The team has already secured a spot in the GLVC Tournament but is still competing with McKendree, Drury, Maryville, and Quincy to be one of four hosts for the opening round of the GLVC Tournament on November 9.

The Tritons will conclude their regular season this weekend with away games against Truman State on Friday at 2:30 p.m. and William Jewell on Sunday at noon.
