UMSL’s Justice Beard earns third GLVC women’s swimming athlete of the week honor

University of Missouri-St. Louis junior swimmer Justice Beard has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference/Athletic Solutions Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week, according to an announcement from the conference office on Thursday. This is Beard's third time receiving this recognition.

Beard, who is majoring in biology and hails from Paducah, Kentucky, contributed to her team’s 135-67 win over William Jewell on October 25. She secured first place in both the 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:53.98 and the 500 Free at 5:01.43. Beard also led off for the first-place 400 Free Relay team, recording a split of 53.84 seconds.

She previously earned Athlete of the Week honors on November 1, 2023, and October 18, 2023. The last Tritons athlete to receive this award was Audrey Lantz on December 19, 2024.

The Tritons are scheduled to compete at home against Rockhurst tomorrow afternoon at the UMSL Swimming Pool.
