University of Missouri-St. Louis senior Caitlin Bishop has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference/Athletic Solutions Setter of the Week for the fifth consecutive week, according to an announcement from the league office on Monday. This recognition marks her seventh weekly award this season and the 22nd of her career.
Bishop, a nursing major from Lansing, Kansas, played a key role in leading her team to victories against UIndy and Lewis. She directed an offense that averaged 14.89 kills per set with a hitting percentage of .228. Over nine sets, she recorded 115 assists (12.78 per set), added 28 digs (3.11 per set), and served three aces. Her performance was highlighted by a match against Lewis where she contributed 63 assists, 15 digs, and one ace.
Bishop currently leads both the GLVC and NCAA in assists per set at 12.34.
The Tritons will begin their final homestand of the regular season on Friday, November 6, hosting McKendree at 6 p.m. at the Mark Twain Building.
