The Hawks fell to 10-3-2 overall and 9-2-1 in conference play.
Both teams entered the match closely ranked, competing for second place in the GLVC standings. UMSL now holds second place, while Quincy is tied with Drury for third.
Josie Maddox gave UMSL an early lead by scoring in the 21st minute after receiving a through ball from Maddie Clark, who was set up by Taylor Martin’s forward pass. Maddox's goal marked her fifth of the season, making her the team's leading scorer.
Quincy responded in the 71st minute when Ella Wolfard scored following a corner kick scramble, tying the game at one goal each.
